Zero to website in 90 minutes! A crash course in DIY web skills
In this workshop we will begin with a computer and end with a website.
As such, the pace of this workshop with be FAST!! Participants should arrive punctually and bring note-taking supplies.
The website we'll make will be a SIMPLE informational site.
It will be built on Drupal 7 with a stock theme and no contrib modules. We'll also register a domain name for a year, set up a shared hosting account with HostGator, and take a peek at cPanel in order to set up the database in MySQL. In the workshop you'll learn what all that means and more!

facilitator experience
Never built a website in 90 minutes (gulp!), but spent many many hours on many other sites.
intended audience
BASIC computers skills required. That's it!
If you've already built a website with Drupal, then this workshop will probably be boring.
