intro to embroidery! hand stitching
We will be exploring the art of embroidery (hand stitching).
You'll learn and practice a variety of basic hand stitches from a running stitch to couching, french knots, chain stitches and more! Your stitches will then be able to be transformed into pictures and text and added onto quilts, fabric collages, clothes, etc.

I love fabrics, textures, color and teaching in a community setting. I have facilitated fabric workshops and hand stitching around our little green/blue earth. I come from a background in sculpture, community arts and social action.

everyone interested in exploring colorful stitching fun!

you don't need to bring supplies with you. I will bring hoops to share, stitching floss, needles, etc...
