Time banking in the Time Trade Circle (TTC)
This workshop will explain what a "time bank" is, and tell you all about the Time Trade Circle (TTC), which is a large, local time bank with 700+ members all over the greater metro-Boston and Eastern-Mass area. The workshop will explain how to join if you are interested, and forms will be available. I'll explain how time banking is different from bartering, how our local Time Trade Circle time bank works, what kinds of services people trade, and how members participate through their online account.

lesson plan
I have an agenda prepared with important information on our local time bank, Time Trade Circle.
I will also have enrollment forms for any participants who would like to join our organization. There is currently no fee to join, or to be a member.
I will also have a take-home sheet for participants who want to join the Time Trade Circle, to help you set up your account online, and to start trading services with other members.
I encourage anyone who wants to know more about this before attending, to look at our website http://timetradecircle.org/ or our facebook page www.facebook.com/timetradecircle
We'll discuss any questions or concerns, and talk about the policies we have. I'll give a little background on the history and structure of the TTC, what sort of volunteer staff we have. Probably the formal information will be about 45 minutes, and we'll do a go-around to introduce participants and discuss time trading services, and i will answer any additional questions.
facilitator experience
I am one of the 3 Coordinators for the Time Trade Circle. I have given talks and Orientations for new members for several years. I'm a huge fan of the philosophy of time banking, and have really enjoyed participating in the Time Trade Circle. I'm good at telling others about it.
intended audience
For people who are interested in joining, this workshop serves as your required Orientation meeting, and an enrollment form will be available.
For people who want to start their own time bank, I can provide brief information on the national organization, TimeBanksUSA, with which we are affiliated.
For people who are just curious, I'm delighted to tell you about time banking, share some of my experiences, answer questions and hear your views.
