Non-macho Chess
Chess is fun. But it can be intimidating to learn, due to the large number of rules and the competitive culture that surrounds it. This workshop is a no-pressure, gradual introduction to chess. Through simple exercises, you'll learn the rules and basic strategy, so that you can enjoy the game with friends.

Five years experience coaching chess clubs. Many years playing chess both competitively and casually.
intended audience
Those who are interested in chess but have little or no experience. Experienced chess players are also welcome, but the majority of the workshop will be targeted to beginners.
