Sewing Basics (Getting Started on a Machine)
How to get started with a sewing machine. We will practice threading a machine, bobbin winding, thread tension and basic troubleshooting. Everyone will get some practice doing actual sewing.
If time allows we'll also talk about general sewing tips and how to read a pattern.

Facilitator is mostly self-taught and is a big fan of the trial and error method. Professional sewing experience making exhibit components, props and costumes for use in learning play at the Discover Center, Museum of Science, Boston.
