Barefoot Massage
A BodyPlay Workshop for those of you who like to have fun massaging your friends and loved ones and tire a little too easily! Learn how to use your feet (and knees and maybe a little forearm) to walk all over you friends! Barefoot pressure and how to use it, balancing, weight dynamics in massage, crawling and knee rolls.. and whatever else we can fit in.

lesson plan
1) a basic demonstration in weight versus muscle in general massage techniques
2) crawling massage and basic thai style release demonstration
3) practicing crawling in partners or triads
4) Basic barefoot part 1 legs and butt
- practice
5) Basic barefoot part 2 balanced stands on legs
- practice
6) Basic barefoot part 3 basic back and arms
-practice
7) Basic barefoot part 4 slightly more advance back stands
-gentle practice
if there is time we'll work on some knee rolls and basic pulls and stretchs
facilitator experience
I am a licensed massage therapist and shiatsu therapist with advanced certification in Oriental Bodywork Therapy and continuing studies in many other forms of massage therapy. I studied barefoot with master teachers and have been a practicing therapist in the Boston area for over 12 years. I have taught BodyPlay workshops for years, both privately and as a presenter at Boston Arts Academy, Brookline High School and many festivals.
