Boabom: Meditation, Movement, Defense from Tibet
This class will teach some simple self-defense and meditation techniques from the art of Boabom,
a unique system of active relaxation, moving meditation, and self-defense
with roots in ancient Tibet.

lesson plan
We'll begin with some warm-up exercises and breathing techniques.
Then we'll practice some basic movements (stances, blocks, and strikes),
and finally we'll see how to put them together in practical coordinations.
The class will be based on the book "The Secret Art of Boabom" by Asanaro.
facilitator experience
Located in Brookline, the Boston School of Boabom offers classes in Boabom and related arts of moving meditation with roots in ancient Tibet. The Boston Skillshare class will be taught by senior teachers from the school.
intended audience
No prior experience or skills required! The class is open to anyone who wants to move and learn something new, from age 8 up–just wear loose, comfortable clothes!
