Learn To Knit!
A workshop to teach the basics of knitting. With these techniques, knitters can make a square or rectangle that can become any number of things, including scarves, pot holders, and blankets. Yarn and knitting needles will be provided, and participants will spend the bulk of the time practicing knitting in this hands-on workshop.

lesson plan
The facilitators will demonstrate the basics of knitting; casting on, knitting and purling. Participants will spend the bulk of the workshop practicing these techniques, with hands-on help from the facilitators.
facilitator experience
Davin has been knitting for over five years and has knit everything from sweaters to DNA models. She has also taught multiple people to knit.
intended audience
Anyone who'd like to learn to knit, had their grandmother teach them once but forgot, or would like a refresher on the basics of knitting.
