What if there are hippies AND punks there? How do you keep them dancing? Can you really have a dance party anytime anywhere? You will leave this workshop knowing all the little secrets and tips from a REAL LIVE DJ, and learn a bit about music selection, dance moves, and proper party attitude, and be ready to be the first one on the floor, anywhere, anytime.

lesson plan
We'll start by talking a bit about really great experiences at dance parties, what made them special, what they felt like, as well as dance parties that sucked balls, and why they were such an epic fail.
Once we've identified some common themes, we'll talk about the 3 main types of dance parties:
1. Spontaneous
2. Pre-Planned
3. Mixed Crowd/Potential
Then we'll get into the art of music selection. Music Genres, Making Playlists, DJing.
So once we have our music, we'll need some spicy Open Source Dance moves to show off. We'll also discuss the importance of being the first one on the floor.
Music is playing. People are dancing. How do we keep this going? How do we keep people from being jerks to us? How do we get everyone to agree on the music? How do we turn this into a revolution?
Oh, and we'll probably end with a Dance Party. Duh.
