This is a hands-on workshop. We'll start off learning the basics of making nut milks, then have a demonstration and sample, and then split into groups to make milk with a variety of different nuts and seeds as options.
facilitator experience
I moved away from purchasing packaged soymilk to making my own nutmilks over six months ago and have been making them every week since. I'm working on a nutmilk zine that will accompany this workshop.
intended audience
This workshop is for anyone who wants to consume less packaging and support less shipping, wants to use fresher ingredients, wants more control over the food they eat, and doesn't want to support the dairy industry. Everything will be vegan and most of it will be raw. Allergy warning: this workshop may contain traces of almonds, cashews, pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts, brazil nuts, and other tree nuts!
